Modules

You will study the following compulsory modules.
Module 1 - International Business and Finance (20 credits)

This module serves as your introduction to International Business and Finance and will help you gain a critical approach to understanding the main financial issues faced by business managers. You’ll build your knowledge of the international finance system; the interpretation of financial reports to guide decision making; the role of financial intermediaries; and much more.

Module 2 - Sustainable Management and Ethics (40 credits)

Your coursework here will support the development of your theoretical, conceptual, and empirical skills, which in turn will help you understand and critically evaluate ethical and sustainable business practices. You’ll study the impact these have on businesses – as well as society – in a dynamic, global marketplace, and enhance your awareness of the interconnectedness of international markets.

Module 3 - Global People Management (20 credits)

During this module, you can expect to analyse, explore, and assess the challenges and complexities of people management operating in an international context. By acquiring a critical awareness of comparative practices that consider the entire employee life cycle, you’ll develop an approach to global implementation that is ethically responsible and sustainable, while being sensitive to the cultural and institutional factors that influence people management as a practice.

Module 4 - Strategic Futures (40 credits)

On this module you can look forward to gaining a robust understanding of strategic management issues and solutions and their importance to organisations. You’ll see how models and frameworks of strategic management can identify and respond to global trends, and how you can position these in the context of strategic thinking and change within organisations.

Module 5 - Research Project (60 credits)

With this final module, you’ll have the chance to put your learning from the course into a self-directed academic or practice-oriented research project. You’ll be challenged with identifying, analysing, and addressing an issue or topic in the Business and Management discipline – this can even be based on an ongoing trend or occurrence in your own line of work.
